I'm Jack. I've been speaking to computers since mid-2015. My friends praise me for my breadth of knowledge but despise me for my complete lack of depth. Don't call me Jack Cab.
As you've probably gleamed by now, I have autism and ADHD. I'm a straight cis male, somehow; my pronouns are he/him.
The balls around this section are my socials. Feel free to contact me on Signal or Discord. There's a wavesmiley above it when I'm online for a reason.
I don't actually enjoy programming, at least not the way most people do. All the thinking I do for a project is done months before I open the editor and haunt me as I attempt to sleep. Intrusive thoughts. Some day I'll learn digital art and music production.
I'm self-taught.
Most of my projects are written in TypeScript or Rust, but previously I used Luau a lot.
I learned Rust in 2023 by going through Rustlings three times. Rust isn't C++ 2, it's evil Haskell, and for that I absolutely love it.
I'm not (yet) a reverse engineer. Until concerningly recently, I actually believed computers were strictly typed, errors and structs were real, functions had a defined length like a slice, and that registers don't exist. Like the JVM. Since I found out that was wrong, I've been terrified of computers.
